  Description: Valerian has nearly the appearance of a young adult human male, standing an even six foot tall and well-built. What sets him apart are the two pairs of wings on his back, the upper and primary pair slightly larger than the lower pair. The upper pair is longer, with a more pointed profile, giving it more of the gliding shape, while the lower pair, being shorter, lends itself more to tight turns and speed. Valerian can fly, through a combination of his wings and magic to counteract his human build's weight. His tail is prehensile and aids in steering in the air. His hair and the feathers closer to his skin are naturally a pale pink. While in public, however, Valerian often employs glamor magic to appear more human. Although he appears in his early 20s, Valerian has been around quite a while. Most of his life has been spent guarding the entrance to the Surworld, the "good" counterpart to the Underworld. However, since Valerian is much better at hiding the gates to the world than a certain Underworld guardian, he occasionally finds free time to wander outside of his own realm. He genuinely cares about those around him and likes getting to know new people, but perhaps due to the years spent on his own, he comes off as aloof or stand-offish more often than not. Valerian does have his vain streak, despite the archangel stereotypes. He's almost never seen not overdressed for a situation.

  Magic: Being an archangel and guardian, Valerian has a grasp on a wide range of magic, although the majority can be classified as 'physical manipulation', such as his breed of glamor magic and turning his scythe into a pocket tool. Since the objects are changed and not simply masked, true vision won't be able to see them; however, it would be able to tell magic has been used to alter said objects.
